The great leap a head came when she was spotted by Sonali Bendre for her beautiful smile in the Indian Idol auditions from where her acting career took off. - the rest is all history since we all know what kind of future is waiting for those who play on the Ramayana!!

However, since the injury event on the set that coused great concern among the Indian people the script has changed and he stayed a live.     


2. Since than every time the movie is getting to the particular sequence where Amitabh Bachchan was injured than the movie stops and a slide pop up to inform the audience that right here Amitabh bachchan almost got him self killed.


My question is have you ever encounter in a movie made in the west that the viewers are being notified (in the film itself) about some incidents happened behind the screens?

Bengali people are well known for being Sport lovers and for this day they have an amazing reason to celebrate after Kolkata Knight Riders has won the 2012 IPL.

Shah Rukh Khan who is the owner of the team at the moment is dancing on the stages where the Cup will be presented to the audience.

Kolkata which these days suffer from a non-stable economic situation has a one day relief. This fact might explain the over enthusiastic mode of the mass which want to take part in the celebrations. The spirits getting to high to be control and the situation is getting a bit chaotic and violent.
    
You could say that SRK stole some of the fame and glory meant for the players themselves but one must admit that SRK was totally committed  to the success of the team all along the way. He has contributed so much to the Cricket sport in India apart of his commitment for the Knight Riders.

Black clouds are floating above the Indian Cricket. Black clouds loaded with heavy rain ready to wash out the dirt that has been brutally entered  into the Indian Cricket aiming to demolish all those beauty things it represents. Just few weeks ago we all were witnessing one of the most incredible and heroic fights that a man can actually face with i.e fighting cancer. The last Mohican, on the cricket figures that is Yuvraj singh has exhibited all the qualities we’d expected from Sportsman to have.  It was an extraordinary example for a man who Overcoming  his darkest fears. It was a one man performance  of a man who never surrendered to  the fatigue enfolded in the illness which constantly ambush ,waiting for a tiny crack in optimism.

Lately, we have started running after our tail –from one controversy straight to the other…
All of them manifest exactly the opposite of those qualities Yuvarj Singh had demonstrated in the most important challenge in his life! People selling games – comman (I’m getting pissed of here cos Yuvraj singh’s images running through my mind while I’m writing these lines)!!!

Those guys are Spitting all over the dignity sports Man must manifest as an example for others.
Not to mention the impact it has on all of us cricket fans now can’t anymore trust nothing!
Tomorrow the playoffs begin but who can guarantee that teams which qualified there truly got coz the effort and talents. The only image I can see in my mind now is some dark alley where men hiding their faces exchanging money from hand to hand some showings and threats followed by load laughs and then quiet again..in the alley. The day somebody “happens” to miss a shot right at the crucial moment of the match- wasn’t it something we saw often this IPL season?

You can accuse me of being paranoid but being paranoid doesn’t say that I’m wrong. I don’t want to make idealization to Yuvraj Singh but could you imagine him there on that alley?
Another black cloud floating over our cricket sky is the in the shape of Cricketers hanging out, parting swimming in alcohol pools and drugs without being judgmental it is just won’t appropriate  for sports man to keep this kind of lifestyle. Am I wrong? Trust me I’m not being naive many sportsmen are getting wild at nights – well it doesn’t make it right.

If it would be end up with parting you could say – that’s their thing – no one  will accuse them for being pro’s. but to get advantage of women bu using the status and power  that’s a spitting again on the faces of those who love cricket!

Well fox…let’s end in that optimist note and wish you all GREAT PLAYOFFS- hopefully SRK won’t act his way  inside the court  and make some high volume ultra-emotional  Devadas scenes towrds the judge, police, players audience..

Dal Makhani

Indian log outside India crave Indian Khana. And isn't it true that food reminds us of home?! After all, tastes of our bachpan always bring back memories of those little things tucked away at the back of our minds.

                                                                                         

In that spirit, let us all go back in time to one of the most popular dishes that we all consider to be a part of US - Dal Makhani!

Ingredients:
1 cup whole urad daal (urad sabut)
1tbsp Red kidney beans (Rajma)
1 onion finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
1" Ginger piece
2-3 green chilies finely chopped
chopped coriander leaves
4-5 flakes Garlic paste
1/2 cup stirred curd
1/2 cup fresh stirred cream (malai)
2tbsp butter
1tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1/2tsp Garam masala
Red chili powder to taste
1/2tsp dhania powder
Salt to taste

How to make Dal Makhni :
Soak rajma in water overnight.
Add water & little salt and pressure-cook Rajma and urad daal till soft for about 20-25 minutes. Mash and boil again for 15-20 minutes and add curd and cream to the daal.
Now in kadhai heat oil, splutter cumin seeds and add garlic paste, fry till light brown. Add onions and fry till golden brown.
Now add ginger, green chilies and tomatoes and fry till tomatoes soften.
Now add dry masalas (turmeric powder, chili powder, dhania powder & salt) and fry again for a moment.
Add daal and stir on medium flame. As soon as it starts boiling remove from the gas.
Sprinkle garam masala powder and garnish daal makhni with coriander and add butter.
Serve daal makhni hot. Goes well with laccha paratha, naan or rice.

Cricket Drama

Again two matches got into the dramatic zone! This time it was Mumbai VS. Bangalore and Chennai VS. Kolkata. What's happening this season in the IPL? So many close matches along the entire season - did you notice that? 

The two matches last night also fell straight into the IPL Drama zone which has become a trade mark for this IPL season,

especially the game between Chennai and Kolkata whose result was unclear till the very last ball!! Who would have imagined that Dhoni's boys would beat SRK's team?? 

Also, the other match between Mumbai and Bangalore went down to the wire! There, the epic battle between Harbhajan Singh and Virat Kohli didn't fail to deliver high adrenaline moments - it was a true test of spectator nerves - viewing was ABSOLUTELY NOT recommended to those with weak hearts!

Some would say this is the essence of cinema - having a film staying alive in our mind way after the the lights were turned off.

The 1988 awarded film “Dil Se” directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Shahrukh Khan, Manisha Koiralaand and Preity Zinta, was a breakthrough in all terms of Indian cinema. As soon as the film was released to the screens it was obvious that it will create a big impact on the Bollywood film industry, even though it wasn’t considered a success at the box office.

The movie is bold and deals with very sensitive issues of the Indian society and politics. It was the third in Ratnam's trilogy of terrorism films that depict human relationships against a background of Indian politics.

Almost in each cinematographic aspects the film got  awards for. Despite that Indian audience couldn’t translate the high appreciation into high earnings, but overseas – with $975,000 in the USA and £537,930 in the UK – it’s become the first Indian film to enter the top 10 in the United Kingdom box office charts.

Amarkant "Amar" Varma (Shahrukh Khan), an All-India Radio program executive living in Delhi, is dispatched to the troubled North-Eastern region of India to report from there on the situation pertaining to the approaching 50th Anniversary of Indian independence.
There, he interviews a terrorist leader on his group's motivation and ethics. He meets Meghna (Manisha Koirala) at a railway station for a tiny chat talk over a cup of tea. At that point the plot starts to get some wild twists and turns where love, distrust, fear, and passion all come together in the same pot! At this point no-one can trust anyone, although the couple still craves one another. When things start on the wrong foot they always have to get…worse! Many surprises await Amar in his awkward “relationship” with Meghna, constantly putting him at odds with everything he considers safe and familiar. It calumniates in the famous row when he whispers in her ear, "If you won't come with me, take me with you!”

The Indian Airline industry is going trough rough time, bad winds, high waves whatever you want to call this. just few months ago the crisis of Kingfisher airline company was all over the news. The company was on the edge of a bankruptcy where the well predicted scenario of pilots demandind more money, strikes, flights cancellations were all part of the festival.
Now it is Air India's turn to bring the problems of the Aviation industry in India back to the upper headlines.
it looks like there is a serious and deep problem in India with regards to India's Aviation industry which are being exposed this year.
Air India's pilots are sticking now for the second day in a row which naturally causes many flights cancellations and many upset people on the Airports. 
let's see if the Indian government will lift the glove up and realize that there is a big problem with many unpredictable consequence to sort out..

For many people his decision to get into politics brings hope in terms leadership values. 

Sachin Tendulkar is the first active sportsperson to enter the Rajya Sabha, which also has nominated distinguished artists, poets and Bollywood actors.

Now we all want to see him maintaining his moral values exactly the same as he was when we fell in love with him on the pitch!

Last night Real Madrid lost to Bayren Minchin 1:2. 

Maybe next week they will lose again in the Santigo Bernabeu.  

This line is a metaphor for the first line of Alber Kami’s masterpiece “The Stranger”. The dark book is reflecting my dark feelings when I think of Real’s last night performance.  

What is the point of playing football? I’ve asked myself last night after the game.

 Yep, I got myself into the existential mode after the game, namely so many question came to my mind starting with:” WHAT IS THE POINT?”

Before I have decided to stop supporting Real Madrid Club permanently and to move on to another team (You know i'm joking right?)  few moments of glory, came to my mind -all from from the history of the club. 

 Moments that symbolized the “being winners no matter what!” spirit. Moments that this club is so proud at.

Exactly the same spirit that we could hear out of Raul after the lost 5-0 to Barcelona:

"Real Will never play defensively even if we know this will lead to our defeat. We are not that kind of team!”

Where was that spirit gone last night?

We could blame Morinyo that would be the easiest option. Because its easy we’ll stick to it. As Bart Simson out it brilliantly: "if its too hard to do it... than it's just not worth it..” 

Thanks Bart  for the insight..and therefore  Morinyo  you are the one to blamed – not for the failure last night, not because the team wasn’t ready but simply cos lack of spirit!

In the fight against terrorism India considers the establishment of a National Anti-Terror Agency with jurisdiction over the whole country. Many of the state leaders claim that this violates the fundamental federal structure.
The most impotent issue coming up from the recent debate is the violation of the one of the most crucial principal of the Indian constitution in terms of Federalism.
On the other hand is the terror attacks India had to face withing the last few years and the challenges a wait to the country in that regard.

Yuvraj Singh Speaks at the first time since he returned

Yuvraj Singh came back to India after 3 months in USA where he was receiving a medical treatment for his cancer disease. Today he has conducted his first media interview expressing his wishes to get back to the game as soon as he can. In the press conference he shared his gratitude to all the people who supported him all along the rough time he was going though.
I am so glad Yuvi is back and wishing us all to get to see him as soon as possible dressed in BLUE!

Dargah Diplomacy

Pak President Asif Ali Zardari has landed with his chopper in Ajmer heading to the Sufi Dargah after having long conversations with Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh.The  discussions were primarily focused on the terrorism issue in general and in particular about Hafiz Saeed who is alleged as the master mind of the Mumbai terror attacks. Asif Ali Zardari visit in the Daragh is being handled under very heavy security. 

The main question this visit raises is concerned to its actual potential to lead into mutual understandings and actions to fight terror in a productive and operational sense.
